Autodesk Fusion Post Processor Development

Production-ready Fusion post processors for any CNC machine and controller. We build, customise, fix and optimise Fusion .cps posts for mills, lathes, mill-turn, Swiss-type, routers and multi-axis machines, so the G-code runs right the first time.

The link between Fusion CAM and your machine

Autodesk Fusion calculates toolpaths in a machine-neutral form. The post processor turns them into the exact NC code your machine and controller expect: program structure, G and M codes, tool changes, work offsets, canned cycles, rotary axis output, coolant, safety lines and every machine-specific detail. Fusion posts are JavaScript files (.cps) run by Autodesk's post engine, the same engine used by Inventor CAM and HSMWorks.

Autodesk's post library is a great start, but generic posts rarely match a real shop exactly. Machine options, custom M-codes, probing, pallet changers, sub-spindles and operator preferences all need changes. ENGIMANDI develops and maintains Fusion posts for machine shops, OEMs and resellers worldwide, from small edits to fully custom multi-axis and mill-turn posts, and tests output carefully before it reaches your machine.

FAQ

Fusion post processor questions

What language are Fusion posts written in?

JavaScript. Each .cps file defines functions such as onOpen, onSection, onLinear and onCircular that the Autodesk post engine calls while processing toolpaths.

Can a Fusion post be used in Inventor CAM or HSMWorks?

Yes. They share the same post engine, so the same .cps post generally works across all three.

Do you need access to our machine?

Not always. We work from manuals, sample programs and remote proving with your operator. See developing posts without machine access.

How long does a post take?

Small edits take days; a full 5-axis or mill-turn post usually takes a few weeks, including proving.

Do we own the post?

Yes. You receive the full .cps source for your use.
