Fusion 3-Axis Post Processor Development
Most CNC work is 3-axis, so the post runs every day. We build and tune Fusion 3-axis posts for VMCs, mills and routers: safe tool changes, correct offsets, efficient cycles, clean arcs, high-speed modes and probing, all matched to your controller.
The everyday post that must never fail
3-axis milling looks simple, but a production post must still handle many details correctly: arcs in all three planes and helical moves, cutter compensation, drilling, tapping and boring cycles, thread milling, multiple work offsets and fixtures, high-speed smoothing for 3D surfaces, probing cycles and subprograms for repeated patterns. Small mistakes in any of these lead to scrap, alarms or crashes.
ENGIMANDI builds Fusion 3-axis posts that get the details right for your controller, whether FANUC, Haas, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, Brother, Okuma or others. We add the options your shop uses, remove the ones you do not, and prove the post on real parts.
See our guide: Fusion 360 3-axis post processor and 3-axis CNC milling post processors.

3-axis post features
What we get right in every 3-axis post.
Arcs & Helix
G17/G18/G19 arcs, helical ramps and arc splitting within controller limits.
Compensation
Wear and in-control cutter compensation with safe lead-in and lead-out.
Cycles
Drill, peck, chip break, rigid tap, bore and back-bore output as native cycles.
Offsets & Fixtures
Standard and extended work offsets for multi-part and tombstone setups.
HSM Modes
Smoothing and look-ahead switched by operation for speed and finish.
Subprograms
Repeated patterns output as subprograms to reduce program size.
3-axis controllers we post for
And many more.
Typical projects
- Production VMC post for a job shop
- Mould and die post with HSM tolerance control
- Multi-vise setup with extended work offsets
- Thread milling output for a specific controller
- Probing cycles for automatic WCS setting
- Brother tapping centre post with fast tool changes

3-axis post questions
Can't we just use the Autodesk library post?
Often you can start there. We customise it for your machine options and shop standards, which is quicker than writing a new post.
Can the 3-axis post support a 4th axis later?
Yes. We can add rotary axis support when you buy a 4th axis. See our 4-axis posts.
How are thread milling moves output?
As helical arcs with correct pitch, direction and compensation for your controller.
Do you support routers with 3-axis posts?
Yes, though routers have their own details. See our router posts.
How quickly can a 3-axis post be ready?
Usually within a few working days, depending on options and proving.
