Inventor Drawing Automation: Views, Dimensions and Parts Lists in Minutes

Drawings often take longer than the 3D model. We automate Inventor drawing creation so standard views, dimensions, parts lists, balloons and title blocks are placed consistently for every part and assembly.

Consistent drawings without the manual effort

Creating a manufacturing drawing means choosing a sheet, placing base and projected views, setting scales, adding sections and details, dimensioning, ballooning and filling the title block. For companies that release hundreds of parts every month, that work dominates engineering time and leads to inconsistent drawings between engineers.

ENGIMANDI builds drawing automation with the Inventor API and iLogic that follows your drafting standard. Tools choose sheet size and scale, place views by part type, retrieve model dimensions or add rule-based dimensions, insert parts lists and balloons, create flat pattern views for sheet metal and export PDF and DXF. Engineers review and adjust instead of starting from an empty sheet.

FAQ

Inventor drawing questions

Can drawings be 100% automatic?

For standard part families, often yes. For varied parts, automation typically completes most of the drawing and engineers finish the rest.

Will dimensions stay associative?

Yes. Views and dimensions are normal Inventor drawing objects and update when the model changes.

Can you work with our existing templates?

Yes. The automation uses your templates, sheet formats, styles and title blocks.

Can drawings be created in Vault automatically?

PDF and DWF outputs can be created by the Vault Job Processor. See Inventor Vault integration.

Does it work for large assemblies?

Yes. We design batch tools for large assemblies with progress reporting and error logs.
