Inventor Vault Integration & Automation

Make Autodesk Vault work harder for your Inventor team: guided file creation with correct numbers and properties, one-click order copies, automatic PDF, STEP and DXF outputs, and lifecycle rules that enforce your release process.

Vault plus Inventor, fully automated

Most companies install Vault to stop losing files, but still create file names by hand, fill properties inconsistently, export PDFs manually and copy projects using Windows Explorer. Vault can do far more when it is configured and extended for your Inventor workflow.

ENGIMANDI configures Vault Data Standard dialogs so engineers pick a category and get the right number, template and properties automatically. We automate Copy Design for order-based products, set up Job Processor jobs that create PDF, DWF, STEP and DXF files on release, and build Vault API extensions for checks, custom commands and integration. The result is cleaner data with less effort for engineers.

FAQ

Inventor Vault questions

What is Vault Data Standard?

It is Autodesk's framework for custom Vault and CAD dialogs, using XAML and PowerShell. It lets us add guided file creation, numbering and property rules without heavy coding.

Do these features need Vault Professional?

Some features such as items and certain workflows need Vault Professional. We confirm what is possible with your Vault edition.

Can outputs be created without an Inventor user?

Yes. The Job Processor runs on a dedicated machine with Inventor installed and processes jobs automatically.

Can you fix a Vault that is already messy?

Yes. We clean properties, categories and lifecycles and set rules to keep data clean in future.

Can Vault connect to ERP?

Yes. See Vault to ERP integration.
