Fusion Indexed 3+2 Post Processor with Tilted Work Planes
Positional 5-axis machining is the most common use of 5-axis machines. We build Fusion posts that output clean 3+2 programs using your controller's tilted work plane functions, with safe reorientation, clamping and readable code.
Machine five sides in one setup
In 3+2 machining, the rotary axes position the part at a fixed angle, and then a normal 3-axis toolpath runs in a tilted coordinate system. It reduces setups and improves accuracy while keeping the stiffness and simplicity of 3-axis cutting. The post decides how that tilt is programmed: with controller functions such as tilted work planes, or with coordinates calculated by the post.
ENGIMANDI builds Fusion 3+2 posts that use the best method for your controller. Tilted work plane output keeps programs readable and allows operators to adjust work offsets without reposting. We also handle safe retracts before reorientation, clamp and unclamp codes, preferred rotary solutions, cancel sequences and restartable operations, so every face is machined safely.

3+2 post questions
Should we use tilted work planes or post-calculated coordinates?
Tilted work planes are usually better: programs are shorter, more readable and less sensitive to setup changes. Post-calculated output suits controls without these functions.
Why does the machine tilt the wrong way?
The post is choosing a different rotary solution. We set preferences to match your needs.
Can operators change work offsets without reposting?
With controller plane functions and TCP, yes, which is a key advantage.
Do 3+2 posts support simultaneous motion too?
They can. Many of our 5-axis posts support both. See 5-axis posts.
Which machines do you support?
Trunnion, head-head and head-table machines on all major controllers.
