UMC and trunnion machines
Haas UMC machines use A/C or B/C trunnions depending on model. With G234 TCPC and G254 DWO, the controller uses machine rotary zero point data (measured on the machine), so programs are not tied to exact fixture position relative to the rotary centre.
Settings that affect the post
- Rotary rollover and shortest-path settings.
- Decimal point handling and units.
- Tool change behaviour and tool pre-select.
- Probing option (Renishaw WIPS) for setup macros.
Haas lathes
Haas ST lathes with live tooling and Y-axis need posts that output C-axis, live tool spindle codes and Haas lathe canned cycles correctly.
A Haas post that uses G187, G234 and G254 properly gets far more from the machine than a generic FANUC post.
