Autodesk Vault Customization & Automation

Make Autodesk Vault work the way your engineering team works. We configure and extend Vault with custom lifecycles, numbering, Data Standard dialogs, Job Processor automation, extensions and publishing, so data management happens automatically.

Vault PDM that fits your process

Autodesk Vault manages CAD files, versions, revisions, lifecycles, items and change orders for Inventor, AutoCAD and other design data. Out of the box, Vault provides the foundation, but most companies need it configured for their own numbering, properties, release process and outputs, and automated so engineers do not spend time on manual PDF exports and file handling.

ENGIMANDI configures Vault categories, lifecycles, revision schemes, properties and security, and extends Vault using Vault Data Standard, PowerShell-based automation, the Vault .NET API and custom Job Processor jobs. Typical outcomes include automatic PDF, DWG, DXF and STEP publishing on release, standard file naming and numbering dialogs, validation before state changes and custom commands in Vault Explorer.

FAQ

Vault customisation questions

Which Vault edition do we need?

Vault Basic handles files and versions. Vault Professional adds lifecycles, items, change orders and more automation options. We help you choose.

What is Vault Data Standard?

An Autodesk framework for custom dialogs and menus in Vault and CAD applications, often used for file naming, numbering and required properties.

Can Vault create PDFs automatically?

Yes. The Job Processor can publish PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP and other formats when files change state, with our custom jobs adding naming and locations.

Will customisation survive Vault upgrades?

We build with supported APIs and test on new versions before you upgrade.

Can you migrate files from network drives?

Yes. We clean up, check references and load files into Vault with properties.
