Fusion CNC Lathe Post Processor for Turning Centres
Fusion turning posts for 2-axis CNC lathes and turning centres: diameter programming, constant surface speed with spindle limits, turret indexing, nose radius compensation, threading and grooving cycles, bar feeders and part catchers.
Turning has its own rules
Lathe programs look very different from milling programs. X is usually programmed as a diameter, spindle speed switches between constant surface speed and fixed RPM with a maximum speed clamp, tools are called with a turret station and offset number together, and tool nose radius compensation depends on the insert orientation. Threading, grooving and roughing cycles differ a lot between controllers, and lathe tool change positions must clear the chuck, tailstock and part.
ENGIMANDI builds Fusion lathe posts that follow these rules for your machine and controller. We output safe turret index positions, correct G96/G97 and G50 or G92 spindle clamping, native threading and grooving cycles where your control supports them, and options for bar feeders, part catchers, tailstocks and steady rests. Programs are clean, readable and easy for lathe operators to adjust.

Lathe post questions
Why is our spindle speed clamp missing?
The post must output G50 or G92 (depending on controller) before constant surface speed. We add it with the maximum RPM from your setup.
Can the post output canned roughing cycles?
Fusion calculates roughing toolpaths itself, which is usually best. Threading and grooving can be output as native cycles.
Do you support gang tool lathes?
Yes. Tool change positions and offsets are set for gang tooling.
What about lathes with live tools or a C axis?
See our C-axis lathe and live tooling posts.
Can we use Fusion for turning with personal use?
Turning is available, but personal-use limits apply. For production we recommend a commercial licence.
