Official Autodesk Development Partner

Autodesk API Integration Services, Desktop and Cloud

We connect Autodesk products with the rest of your business using every Autodesk API: desktop APIs for AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Civil 3D and Fusion, the Vault SDK, and cloud APIs from Autodesk Platform Services and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

The right Autodesk API for each integration

Autodesk offers many APIs, and choosing the right one matters. Desktop APIs give full access to the model while a user works. The Vault SDK controls managed files, items and BOMs. Autodesk Platform Services provides cloud access to files, model data, viewers and Design Automation, and the Autodesk Construction Cloud APIs expose project management data. Each has different licensing, performance and hosting implications.

ENGIMANDI is an Official Autodesk Development Partner with experience across all of them. We recommend the best integration point for each requirement, design secure and maintainable architectures, and build the connectors, services and user interfaces that tie Autodesk data to ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, databases, e-commerce and custom web applications.

FAQ

Autodesk API questions

Can desktop Autodesk software run on a server for integrations?

Autodesk licensing generally does not allow desktop products as unattended server engines. For server-side processing, we use Design Automation in APS.

Which API is best for reading model data?

It depends on where the data lives: desktop APIs while users work, the Vault SDK for managed files, and APS or data model APIs for cloud files.

Are APS APIs free?

Many are free; some, such as Model Derivative and Design Automation, have usage-based costs, which we estimate early.

Can you work with our existing integrations?

Yes. We review, fix, extend or replace existing Autodesk integrations.

Why choose an Autodesk Development Partner?

We work with Autodesk APIs every day and have access to partner resources, which reduces risk on complex projects.
