Custom M-Code Output from Fusion

M-codes drive the machine functions around the cut: coolant types, air blast, rotary clamps, chip conveyor, doors, pallets, bar feeders and part catchers. We make your Fusion post output the right M-codes at the right time for your exact machine.

M-codes are machine-specific

Beyond M3, M5 and M30, most M-codes are defined by the machine builder. One machine uses M8 for flood and M88 for through-spindle coolant; another uses M7 for mist and M51 for air blast. Rotary clamp and unclamp codes, chip conveyor, door, pallet change, bar feeder and part catcher codes all vary. If the post outputs the wrong code, the function does not happen, or the control alarms.

ENGIMANDI customises Fusion posts so every M-code matches your machine. We map Fusion's coolant options to your codes, add clamping around rotary moves, sequence coolant on and off correctly around tool changes, add conveyor, door and pallet codes at the right points, and expose optional functions as post properties. We take codes from your machine manual and proven programs.

FAQ

Custom M-code questions

How does the post know which coolant to use?

From the coolant setting on each tool or operation in Fusion, mapped to your machine codes.

Can you use Manual NC commands?

Yes. Fusion Manual NC entries can trigger custom codes at specific points.

Do clamps need special handling?

Yes. Clamps must release before rotary moves and lock afterwards; we sequence this correctly.

Where do the codes come from?

Your machine manual and proven programs.

What about G-code changes?

See custom G-code output.
