AutoCAD Mechanical questions
Is AutoCAD Mechanical different from AutoCAD?
Yes. AutoCAD Mechanical is AutoCAD plus mechanical engineering tools such as standard parts, structure, BOM and mechanical symbols. It is included in the Autodesk AutoCAD toolsets.
Can you add our own parts to the library?
Yes. We add company and supplier parts with all size variations and properties to the AutoCAD Mechanical content library.
Should we move to Inventor instead?
It depends on your products. Many companies use both: Inventor for 3D and AutoCAD Mechanical for 2D. We help with Inventor automation too.
